George A Wright is located in the beautiful city of Kingston, Ontario, which is located on Lake

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
● Safely produce quality parts on schedule
● Run tooling and machinery to optimize production and quality to meet customer
requirements
● Able to troubleshoot unique problems with parts, fixtures or tooling
● Change tools, inserts and adjust offsets as required to maintain tolerances
● Complete daily machine maintenance
● Check own parts against drawings in various stages of production
● Identify irregularities in parts and non conformance to quality standards
● Follow all safety and ISO procedures and responsibilities accurately completing
appropriate paperwork
● Assist with training of Machinist Apprentice
● Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
● Experience in a jobbing shop environment is an asset
● Prior experience with large horizontal or vertical boring mills or lathes and G-Code or
Heidenhain CNC control an asset
● Intricate set up and programming skills are an asset
● Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings. Knowledge of GD&T an asset.
● Able to use and read machinists measuring equipment
● Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances
● Must have good time management, problem-solving skills, initiative and a commitment to
tasks
● Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
● ISO 9001:2015 experience is an asset
● Overhead crane and forklift experience is an asset
Salary: $33 / hour
Vacation: 2 weeks vacation after first year worked
