Landstar Power Inc. is a leading company in the battery recycling industry, specializing in the responsibledisposal and recycling of various types of batteries. In addition to its recycling operations, Landstar Poweralso engages in the sale of large quantities of metal scrap. We are currently seeking a skilled LogisticsSupervisor to join our team, who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the logistics activities,ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost-effective operations. JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:
- Supervise and oversee the work of clerks engaged in various tasks, including shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and inventory management of materials, parts, and products.
- Plan and assign duties to clerks, ensuring proper coordination of activities such as processing purchasing transactions, coordinating production work, dispatching crews, and scheduling transportation crews and routes.
- Resolve work related problems
- Maintain compliance with safety and security policies, procedures, standards, and regulations, actively participating in their improvement.
- Train workers in duties and policies
- Requisition necessary supplies and materials.
- Conduct performance reviews
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years of experience in logistics or procurement
- Bachelor’s degree required. Education related to business, supply chain, production, or manufacturing management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to speak, read and write in English
- Proficiency in relevant software systems (e.g., inventory management, CRM).
- Knowledge of applicable environmental and recycling regulations.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, Full-time
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week
WAGES: $ 25.50 per hour
OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations
BENEFITS PACKAGE:
- Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer
- Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a
semi-monthly basis

ANTICIPATED START DATE OF EMPLOYMENT: As soon as possible.
