Job description:
Location: Mississauga, ON L5M 3S8
Salary: $22.50 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Organizing an array of details including food, drinks, activities, invitations, setup, seating, and decorations
- Will deliver and set up tents, chairs, tables, BBQs, Linens, dinnerware, food and beverage equipment, and so much more.
- Fixing broken items and machinery, and reporting any issues to the divisional managers
- Being creative - and having an eye for detail with event signage and displays
- Carry out equipment, tool and machinery repairs and basic servicing
- Will move furniture (within the venue or outside of venue)
- Fix curtain rails, including hanging or taking down curtains, tape down carpets and electrical leads.
- They will fix things, install things, and make repairs.
- Perform walk-through assessments.
- Load and unload tools and equipment from work vehicles
Eligibility Requirements:
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience of working as handyman or similar role.
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
