We will provide:
- Pay range of $35 to $40 per hour
- Range of 30-40 hours per Week throughout your employment period
- Paid vacation of 10 calendar days each year or 4% salary
Job Duties
- Install and repair drywall panels in residential buildings to create walls and ceilings. This includes measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing drywall panels to metal or wooden frames.
- Apply tape and use joint compound to fill joints, holes, and cracks in drywall panels, ensuring a smooth, seamless finish. Sand all joints and surfaces to a smooth finish, preparing them for painting or further treatment.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best approach for drywall installation and to ensure compliance with building codes and client requirements.
- Adhere to all workplace safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Work closely with other construction professionals, to coordinate installation schedules and address any project challenges promptly.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors.
- Conduct thorough inspections of work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
Requirements
- Education: High School Completion
- Experience: Minimum six months of experience as a Drywall Installer
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various construction environments.
- Ability to legally work in Canada
