Starline Insulation & Flooring Ltd. is an insulation and flooring company that is based in Surrey, British Columbia, and provides insulation and flooring services to both residential and commercial clients. It is our mission to provide reliable, fast, and quality services to all of our customers regardless of their needs. We work with a wide range of individuals, including homeowners looking to improve weatherproofing in their homes, business owners, and contractors both working on new construction projects as well as renovation projects. Currently, we are hiring a skilled and qualified insulation installer to join our team.

Position: Insulation Installer

Number of positions: 1

Terms of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $29.00 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work Site Environment: Confined spaces, Noisy, Dusty, Odors, Hot
Work location(s): Various Locations in Greater Vancouver, Lower Mainland, BC

Job Responsibilities

• Select type of insulation required.
• Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods.
• Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs.
• Install vapor barriers and fire-retardant materials.
• Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials.
• Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers.
• Remove asbestos, ceramic fibers, mould or urea formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings when required

Position Requirements

• Completion of high School.
• Completion of 3-4-year apprenticeship program or at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability and willingness to work independently with limited supervision.
• Positive and cooperative attitude.
• Willing to travel to different location in Greater Vancouver & Lower Mainland, BC.
