Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain internal cost tracking and reporting systems to monitor business performance across client operations.
Compile financial data and assist in preparing working files for review engagements, CFI statements, and other compilation engagements.
Support business clients in maintaining accounting systems to improve financial tracking and internal decision-making.
Assist clients in implementing internal controls and workflow procedures related to financial reporting, inventory, procurement, and production management.
Prepare working files to support corporate tax filings under supervision, based on accounting records and client-provided data.
Participate in client consultations to gather financial and operational information for planning and advisory engagements.
Document accounting and reporting processes for small business clients and help standardize recurring procedures for efficiency and compliance.
Liaise with business owners and client staff to clarify data requirements, accounting procedures, and system configurations.
Provide support to senior accountants and partners, as and where necessary.
Wage/Salary: $39.50/hour
Benefits: Extended Health Benefits available after 90 days of employment
Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week

Skills Requirements
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related technical field is required.
Work Experience: At least two years of relevant work experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, or a related role involving financial reporting, internal controls, or cost tracking is required.
Skills/Licensing: Must be proficient in modern accounting software, including but not limited to Quickbooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms used in public accounting; Must have demonstrable and verifiable work experience with internal controls, accounting workflows, and cost-tracking systems within business operations.
