Terms of Employment: 30-40 hours per week, Full-time/Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Wage: $18.85-21.85 per hour (Depending on experience)

Job Description:
- Prepare mushroom compost materials according to specific formulas and protocols, which may include weighing, mixing, and hydrating various ingredients (e.g., sawdust, grains, supplements).
- Operate mushroom compost processing equipment, such as mixers, pasteurizers/sterilizers, and filling machines.
- Monitor mushroom compost preparation processes to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of mushroom compost batches, ingredients, and processing parameters.
- Package and store prepared mushroom compost in appropriate containers under specified conditions.
- Transport mushroom compost materials within the facility using manual or mechanical equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, telehanders).
- Assist with the cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mushroom compost processing equipment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow strict hygiene and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination of substrates.
- May assist with inventory management of mushroom compost materials and supplies.
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
Education:No formal education required.
Experience: No formal experience required; successful candidates will be trained in job duties.
Language: No formal language requirement.
Work Conditions:
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work long hours with repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in varied (cold, damp, dusty) and controlled (specific temperature and humidity) conditions.
- Ability to handle heavy workloads, which can be physically demanding, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish between colors, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch and kneel for long periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
- Strong sanitation practices and awareness of hygiene protocols.
- Be willing to take a first aid level 1 course or other required training programs.
- Be willing to take any safety training and machine operating training programs.
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
