Oriental Development Ltd. is located in Victoria, BC. We are now looking for 3 qualified Apprentice Painter to join our team.
Position: Apprentice Carpenter
Wage: C$ 28.00 hourly
Working Hours: 35 hours working / week
Vacation Pay: 4% of gross salary
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Job duties:
- Learn to measure, cut, and install wallpaper or fabric onto walls.
- Assists Painter in reviewing specifications to determine the necessary quantities of materials.
- Learn to employ surface preparation techniques such as scraping, sanding, sandblasting, hydro-blasting, and steam-cleaning.
- Assists Painter in removing old wallpaper and loose paint, repairing cracks and holes in walls, and sanding surfaces before applying a sealer.
- Learn to adjust the color and texture of paint by mixing and thinning it as needed.
- Learn to utilize brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to apply paint or other materials.
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school.
- Experience is an asset.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
