Associate Lawyer: Family law and personal injury litigation
Carraig Law Group opened its doors in January 2021 in Downtown Vancouver. Carraig is the Irish word for "rock". We are a team of 8 lawyers, 3 articled students, 1 paralegal, and 3 administrative staff. We believe in solid foundations, consistency, and dependability.
We are hiring a full-time associate lawyer to join our family law and personal injury litigation team in Downtown Vancouver. We are looking for a lawyer who can work earnestly to put the interests of our clients at the top of the list.

$95,000 a year (30 hours per week)
Duties and responsibilities:
Independently manage legal files from initial client intake through to resolution, including all correspondence, filings, negotiations, and court appearances.
Provide legal representation and advice in family law matters, including but not limited to divorce, custody, access, support, and property division, leveraging at least one year of direct experience in this field.
Handle a variety of personal injury cases, such as motor vehicle accidents and occupier’s liability claims, utilizing at least one year of hands-on experience in personal injury litigation.
Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, factums, and legal memoranda.
Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials, with strong courtroom advocacy skills and the ability to manage proceedings independently.
Demonstrate strong analytical and legal writing skills to develop case strategies and provide clear legal opinions.
Support clients in criminal law and immigration matters, where applicable; experience in these additional areas is considered a strong asset.
Maintain professional client relationships by offering timely and informed advice, managing expectations, and ensuring high service standards.
Meet all deadlines efficiently while handling a high volume of files and competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Ensure compliance with the Law Society of British Columbia’s professional standards and uphold client confidentiality and ethical legal practice.
