Position Title: Landscape gardener

We are looking for 01 Landscape gardener (NOC 22114).

Job Duties:

• Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
• Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products
• Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting treatment solutions
• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease
• Plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes
• Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures
• Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens
• Plant and move trees
• Tree removal

Work Environment and Setting

• Outdoors, at heights.
• Noisy and dusty conditions.
• Lawn care company, Work in employers’/client’s home, Commercial, residential, and various locations.
• Willing to relocate.

Employment Details:

• Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time.
• Start Date: As soon as possible.
• Language of work: Basic conversational English.
• Wage: $37/hour.
• Hours: 6 hours/day, 30 hours/week.
• Location of work: New Westminster, BC (employer's/client's locations). No remote work available.
• Other Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

• Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, mask, safety vest

• Being respectful to our clients and our co-workers.
• Secure and safety: Driving record check (abstract).
• Education: Completion of a College/CEGEP or above.
• Work Experience: Minimum 7 months of related work experience. Landscaping experience: Residential projects. Construction specialization: Automated irrigation system, fieldstone paths, interlocking brick, ornamental ponds, fountains, waterfalls, poured concrete, retaining walls, rock gardens, stone garden walls. Area of specialization: Landscape design, landscape construction, plant knowledge, and identification
