Job Description:
Study blueprints and diagrams to determine the method of installation and tool requirements.
Assembles and installs metal framing and ceiling grids, doorways.
Mark cutting lines on material, using Chalk Line, pencil.
Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets using hand tools and portable power tools.
Sanding, trimming excess compound, rough edges of wallboard.
Smoothing the rough surfaces by coating them with desired material.
Cut fixtures or border tiles to size, using appropriate tools, and insert them into surrounding frameworks.
Installs blanket insulation between studs and tacks plastic moisture barrier over insulation.
Seal joints between ceiling tiles and walls.
Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School is required.
Post secondary education and/ or minimum one year experience in the field.
