Position Details

Position: Apprentice Carpenter
Company: 777 Construction Ltd.

Number of positions: 1
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time 
Salary: $36.60 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible 
Work locations: Various Locations in Surrey (BC) & other areas in Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s work contracts with its clients.

Job Duties

• Read & interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of a senior carpenter.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel under the guidance of senior Carpenter.
• Prepare job layouts and perform basic calculations as directed.
• Install and finish surfaces of woodwork using basic hand tools and materials like paneling.
• Work on new builds, renovations, and additions by supporting skilled carpenters in various stages of construction.
• Aid in constructing foundations, installing floor beams, subflooring, walls, and partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, trim, and hardware components.
• Follow instructions to maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to site safety protocols.
• Carry and organize materials, tools, and equipment as required by the carpentry crew.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in a relevant trade or Minimum 3 years of experience in the trade is required
• Ability to communicate in English

Note

• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided for up to $1000.00 for qualified candidates.
