Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry-Level Millwright/Machine Builder to join our mechanical team. No formal experience is required—just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for hands-on mechanical work. In this role, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship as you assist in assembling, fitting, and installing automation systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials
  • Support the assembly and fit-up of mechanical and pneumatic systems
  • Assist with plumbing of tooling and automation cells
  • Help build and test sub-assemblies, including pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components
  • Participate in troubleshooting and quality control during and after assembly
  • Assist with the installation of fixtures, panels, and mechanical devices in industrial environments
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Support system decommissioning, commissioning, and final on-site installation
  • Help manage job materials and maintain inventory using our computer system
  • Complete work orders and assist with project status reporting
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Experience in an occupation that demonstrates mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
  • Valid G-class driver’s license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights, Forklift) are considered assets but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
