Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Child Caregiver. The ideal candidate will have a background in caregiving, particularly with children. This role requires a nurturing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to educate and engage in meaningful activities.
Responsibilities
- Change diapers
- Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
- Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
- Supervise and care for children
- Take children to and from school and to appointments
- Tend to emotional well-being of children
- Cook
Requirements
- Education and experience related in child caregiving is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to educate clients through creative and engaging methods
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to care for others
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Asset language: English and Tagalog
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
