Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings, measure, cut, and fit them.
- Attach sheets to wooden or metal joists or studs.
- Safeguard exterior corners, cut and attach metal corner beads.
- Using a trowel and a broad knife, apply joint compound to joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks.
- Use a taping machine to apply tape across joints, then embed the tape in compound.
- After removing extra compound, let the coat dry.
- Sand and compound seams and joints in successive applications.
- Create coffered and acoustical ceilings, fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and install panels.
Requirements:
- Completion of High School is required.
- Minimum six months of experience in the field is required.
