Job Description:

Reliable caregiver is required to help look after my grandmother, who resides at 28725 0 Avenue, Abbotsford, B.C., V4X 2J2. Duties include companionship and administering medication as per doctor’s order if necessary. Assist in dressing her and in performing daily hygiene routines such as bathing, mobility assistance, performing light housekeeping, which includes laundry, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks, and taking her to and from doctor’s appointments and other scheduled appointments. The position is a live-out; however, free accommodation will be provided if deserving applicants prefer to do live-in for her or his convenience.

DUTIES           

• Prepare and serve fresh and healthy meals every day.
• Assist in dressing up and getting ready.
• Keep a safe and clean environment.
• Assist in day-to-day activities.
• Take her out for short walks to nearby parks.
• Entertain her by reading newspapers and magazines.
• Accompany her during doctor's appointments.
• Keep records of her physical health and medications.

Employment Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• First Aid Certificate or Health Care Aide Certificate is an asset
• Experience is an asset.
• Criminal record check
• Language: English
