Maple Fun Tours Ltd., is a Vancouver-based in-bound tour company. Our main market is Asian countries and we deal with Asian clients and agents and we will need to plan and prepare for their itineraries and deal with issues, with these types of clients and market, as they differ from other markets.
We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time Tour Operator Manager. This position needs to communicate with agents in Asia along with communicating with Tour Escorts and clients while in Canada, if there is any issue.
Job duties and Responsibilities:
? Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of our tour company
? Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units
? Plan and control budget and inventory
? Respond to inquiries or complaints and resolve problems
? Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies
? Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
? Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
? Ensure smooth operation of systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work
? Perform the same duties as tour guides when necessary or required, including transport or escorting individual tourist or tourist groups
? Ensure reservation for transportation and accommodations for individual tourists or tour groups
? Describe points of interest, answer questions and supply information
? Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of tour guides
Education, Skills and Experiences:
? Completion of secondary school is required
? A college diploma or vocational certificate in a related field is preferred but not required
? At least two years’ experience in the same type of field/industry including supervisory experience
? Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Language:
? Oral and Written communication skills in English
Compensation and benefit:
? $36.60/hour

? Bonus depending on company revenue performance and employee evaluations
