Location of work: Work at clients’ homes

Title of position: Personal support worker – Unity Home Care Ltd

Candidate is to care for clients at their homes.

Duties:

• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
• Collect specimens
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook

Terms of employment: 35-40 hours/week with potential increase in hours to cover other staff, permanent, full-time, mornings, day, evening, with overtime if needed

Wages: $22-$26 per hour depending on experience and needs of the client

Education required: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate /Completion of high school.

Work experience required: 1 months to less than 7 months of relevant experience

Language required to do the work: English

Other conditions: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
