Job duties include:
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Establish menus, determine portion sizes, estimate food requirements and costs, and place orders for supplies
• Ensure that kitchens and food service areas are in good working order
• Provide staff with training in food preparation, cooking, and handling
• Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen assistants and staff
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen
• Organise and manage buffets and banquets regularly to keep the company running smoothly
• Operate and manage the kitchen operations in a professional manner
• Planning and coordinating special events as needed
