Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical and clinical equipment
- Support patient mobility including lifting, turning, positioning, and weighing patients
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Respond promptly to patient call signals and identify patient needs
- Assist with personal care tasks including hygiene and comfort support
- Supervise and guide patients through prescribed exercise routines
- Collect specimens as required
- Maintain and restock inventory of patient care and clinical supplies
- Transport patients using a wheelchair or stretcher
- Provide basic first aid in emergency situations
- Assist pharmacists or clinicians with patient care–related tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
Qualifications
Education
- Completion of a College, CEGEP, or non-university certificate/diploma (3 months to less than 1 year), or
- Equivalent training and experience
Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Certifications
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
