Next Level Childcare provides children with a stimulating, clean and fun learning environment. We have a variety of programs servicing children 0-12 years of age. Our programs are designed to allow for flexibility and spontaneous activities based on each child’s interests. Job duties:

• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest
• Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
• Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
• Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
• Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
• Establish guidelines for behavior
• Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers

Requirements:

-Education: Bachelor’s degree

-Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

-Valid ECE license is required

-Valid First Aid & CPR certificate

-Satisfactory criminal record check is required

Supervison:

3-4 people

Salary:

$37.00 CAD hourly

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday / 30 ~ 40 hours per week from 7 AM to 6 PM / 6 ~ 8 hours per day / 1-hour lunch break (unpaid)

Benefits: Extended health benefits available after 90 days (shared 50/50 between employee and employer)
