Job Duties
- Clean and service guest rooms, suites, and bathrooms daily according to resort cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Make beds, replace linens, duvets, and pillowcases, and ensure proper room presentation
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and clean mirrors, windows, and fixtures
- Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, coffee amenities, and minibar items
- Inspect rooms for maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards and report them promptly to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance department
- Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items and report valuables as per company policy
- Use cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment safely in accordance with WHMIS and workplace health and safety standards
- Respond to guest requests politely and professionally, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and linen rooms in a clean and organized manner
- Adhere to Cabot Cape Breton’s luxury service standards, privacy policies, and environmental sustainability practices
- Thoroughly sanitize and shine bathroom fittings, kitchen fixtures, and in-room appliances to maintain hygiene and presentation standards.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain shared guest facilities including locker rooms, showers, elevators, and other common-use areas
- Wash and wipe interior surfaces such as windows, walls, ceilings, mirrors, and high-touch points
- Complete assigned room quotas efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Skills requirements:
- No Formal Education required
- Minimum one month of work experience in housekeeping or cleaning services.
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
