Job description:
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for launching and scaling the new community care project. This role will drive market entry strategy, develop strategic partnerships, secure service contracts, and build operational frameworks necessary for sustainable growth.
This is a leadership role requiring entrepreneurial initiative, regulatory awareness, and strong relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the new project
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis across British Columbia
- Identify target client segments (private clients, community organizations, referral networks)
- Partnership & Contract Development
Build partnerships with:
- Community organizations
- Healthcare-adjacent service providers
- Senior support networks
- Private clients and referral agencies
- Negotiate service agreements and pricing structures
- Identify funding opportunities, grants, and community collaborations
Operational Setup
- Assist in designing service packages and pricing models
- Work with leadership to establish policies, compliance standards, and reporting systems
- Support recruitment strategy for support workers through internal recruitment division
Revenue & Growth
- Set revenue targets and growth benchmarks
- Develop client acquisition strategies
- Track performance metrics and prepare executive reports
- Brand Positioning
- Support marketing strategy and outreach campaigns
- Represent Talented Hands Inc. at networking events and industry forums
- Strengthen brand credibility in the community care sector
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5+ years experience in business development, preferably in:
- Home care
- Community services
- Healthcare-adjacent sectors
- Recruitment or staffing industries
- Demonstrated experience launching or scaling new service lines
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments in British Columbia (asset)
- Proven ability to generate revenue and secure partnerships
