The role involves supervising daily restaurant operations, coordinating staff activities, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, monitoring inventory, and maintaining service quality. The position requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced food service environment to support smooth shift operations and consistent customer service. Job Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff to ensure efficient restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and closing procedures.
• Assign duties to team members, monitor performance, and provide ongoing guidance and training to ensure compliance with Subway brand standards, food safety policies, and customer service procedures.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, temperature control, cleaning schedules, and maintenance of preparation and storage areas.
• Monitor inventory levels of food ingredients, packaging, and cleaning supplies; record usage, minimize waste, and coordinate replenishment to maintain operational readiness for overnight and early morning service.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a timely and professional manner to maintain service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new employees, reinforcing operational procedures, hygiene standards, and workplace safety practices.
• Maintain shift records, including sales reports, cash reconciliation, incident logs, and inventory documentation, and communicate relevant updates to management.
• Oversee equipment functionality during the shift and report maintenance or operational issues to ensure uninterrupted restaurant operations.
• Perform general food service duties, such as preparing sandwiches and salads, operating the point-of-sale system, and maintaining dining and kitchen cleanliness, as required during peak or staff shortage periods.
• Perform other job duties as required to support efficient restaurant operations and ensure smooth workflow during night shift service.
Qualification & Requirements
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to supervise, train, and coordinate staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash, inventory, and reporting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shift operations.
• Basic problem-solving skills and ability to resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in the food service industry, preferably in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
