Hours:                                              35-40 hrs/wk

Wages:                                            $20.20/hr

Job Duties:

• Prepare soil, fields, and beds for planting, seeding, and transplanting
• Plant seeds and seedlings in designated field areas
• Water crops and assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of irrigation systems
• Apply fertilizers, soil amendments, and crop protection products as directed
• Monitor crops for growth, weeds, pests, and disease, and report issues to the supervisor
• Perform hoeing, hand weeding, and other general crop-maintenance duties
• Harvest watermelon, muskmelon, and cauliflower by hand according to farm quality standards
• Sort, handle, and move harvested produce carefully to avoid damage
• Clean and maintain farm tools, equipment, and work areas
• Assist with receiving farm supplies, post-harvest cleanup, and general farm maintenance

Working Condition: Outdoors, wet/damp, rain/ shine, odours, hot/cold.
