Work setting: On site – work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities/Tasks
- Supervise truck drivers and coordinate transportation-related work activities.
- Prepare production and operational reports related to driver activities, deliveries, and fleet operations.
- Recommend measures to improve work methods, efficiency, and service quality in transportation operations.
- Resolve work-related issues, provide technical guidance to drivers, and recommend actions to improve productivity and performance.
- Train drivers or arrange training on job duties, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance.
- Co-ordinate and schedule driver assignments, routes, and daily transportation activities.
- Recommend personnel actions, including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures.
- Order or arrange for the purchase of materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for transportation operations.
- Ensure health and safety regulations and transportation requirements are followed.
