Long Haul Truck Driver

VMB Logistic is hiring experienced Long Haul Truck Drivers for permanent full-time positions. Drivers will transport goods and materials across various locations while ensuring safe and timely deliveries.

- Location: 1085 Cardiff Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5S 1P4
- Salary: $74,880 to $80,000 annually
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week
- Vacancies: 10

Job Duties
- Operate long-haul trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently.
- Inspect trucks, trailers, and safety equipment before, during, and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
- Plan driving routes and delivery schedules to meet customer deadlines and optimize fuel efficiency.
- Secure cargo properly and verify load documentation to maintain safe transportation practices.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, hours of service, and delivery information.
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff regarding shipment status and delivery updates.
- Follow all transportation regulations, company safety policies, and cross-border compliance requirements.
- Handle refrigerated, hazmat, and specialized freight according to safety and operational procedures.
- Perform minor roadside troubleshooting and report mechanical issues promptly to maintenance staff.
- Provide professional customer service while ensuring timely pickups and deliveries for clients.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Valid AZ Driver’s Licence
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Documentation knowledge
- Driver logbook
- Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
- Maintenance and repair reports
Communication systems experience
- Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
