Long Haul Truck Driver 

Air and Oceanland Inc. is seeking experienced and reliable Long Haul Truck Drivers to join our growing transportation team.

• Location: 16 Cadetta Road Brampton, ON L6P 0X4
• Work Location: On the road (Canada-wide travel required)
• Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
• Wage: $36.00 per hour
• Hours: 40–60 hours per week
• Vacancies: 20

Job Duties

• Operates tractor-trailers to transport freight safely and efficiently across Canada and the United States.
• Inspects trucks, trailers, and equipment before, during, and after trips to ensure safe operation.
• Loads, unloads, and assists with the securement of cargo using chains, straps, binders, and other tie-down equipment.
• Installs and removes tarps to protect loads from weather and road conditions when required.
• Plans routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
• Maintains accurate logs, trip records, inspection reports, and shipping documentation.
• Communicates regularly with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, and route updates.
• Complies with all transportation, safety, and cargo securement regulations and company policies.
• Performs minor roadside adjustments and reports mechanical defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Verifies cargo condition and delivery documentation and obtains required signatures upon pickup and delivery.

Requirements

• Secondary school completion preferred.
• Valid Ontario AZ Driver’s Licence.
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
• Clean driving abstract and valid driver's licence.
• Ability to travel for extended periods and work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overnight trips.
• Ability to handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and commitment to safety.
• Experience operating tractor-trailers, flatbeds, or dump trucks is an asset.

• Frequent travel and overnight stays away from home.
• Physically demanding work environment.
• Overtime and on-call work may be required.
