Compensation: $65.00 - $70.00 / hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week, scheduled as per project need. Flexible availability required as work may include some evenings and weekends.

Overview:

Winmate International is seeking a Computer Application Programmer to support the design, development, and ongoing improvement of business applications. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in iteration planning and estimation by reviewing business requirements, breaking down development tasks and estimating work output
• Write, maintain, and optimize application code
• Improve existing code new requirements or to fix technical issues
• Ensure applications run smoothly across different devices
• Perform testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance, to identify and resolve software defects
• Support the evolution of the product through updates, patches, and new features with minimal disruption to business operations
• Assist in the resolution of technical issues
• Maintain and improve system stability, security, and performance by monitoring application behaviour and implementing necessary enhancements or fixes.
• Follow coding standards and basic security practices to protect data and maintain system integrity
• Maintain documentation to support development, testing, deployment, and support

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience in application development is an asset
• Familiarity with modern programming languages and development tools
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
