Nella Cutlery & Food Equipment Inc. is a leading supplier and service provider of commercial kitchen, bakery, food-processing, refrigeration, and packaging equipment. The company provides installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to restaurants, bakeries, butcher shops, food-processing facilities, and other commercial food-service establishments throughout Ontario.
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Food Equipment Mechanic to join our team.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, overhaul, and repair commercial food-processing, food-service, packaging, and kitchen machinery and mechanical equipment.
Inspect machinery and equipment to identify malfunctions and determine repair requirements.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and power transmission systems using testing and diagnostic equipment.
Repair, replace, and adjust defective mechanical components on commercial mixers, meat-processing machinery, bakery equipment, vacuum packaging systems, slicers, grinders, and other commercial food-processing machinery.
Perform welding and fabrication repairs on machinery and equipment components as required.
Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
Clean, lubricate, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain service and repair records.
Completion of secondary school is required.
Technical training in mechanics, equipment repair, industrial maintenance, agricultural technology, or a related field is an asset.
Minimum 4 years of experience repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, food-processing equipment, commercial food-service equipment, or related mechanical systems is required.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems is required.
Welding experience is an asset.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Fast-paced and physically demanding environment requiring manual dexterity and the ability to handle heavy equipment.
