Responsibilities
- Manage investments in direct trust accounts and determine financial objectives of the clients
- Design, implement, and maintain accounting systems
- Review financial records of clients and oversee balance sheets and profit/loss reports
- Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies
- Create financial plans for clients and prepare reports and audit results
- Draft financial statements and reports for clients
- Suggest improvements to accounting systems and management practices
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with the income tax act, canadian business corporations act, and other legal requirements
- Develop and manage costing, reporting, and internal control procedures
- Prepare income tax returns based on accounting records
- Assess and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Inspect accounting records for accuracy and compliance and analyze financial documents and reports
- Provide advice on financial, business, and tax matters
- Support in the planning and execution of financial audits
- Conduct variance analysis and manage payroll administration
- Manage financial records and accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
