Job Duties:
- Prepare and cook Japanese and Thai meals and dishes listed on the menu for customers and customers with food allergies
- Prepare and cook other styles of cooking out of menu for special events
- Collaborate with chefs to review the menu regularly and make recommendations for new items and required ingredients
- Collaborate with chefs to guide and train line cooks, delegate tasks and help maintain a positive team environment
- Determine cost of food and size of food portion, and monitor the inventory of food
- Check and monitor the quality of cooked items
- Oversee kitchen operations and support staff
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure that food are met quality control standards
- Estimate ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
- Clean and maintain kitchen and work area and keep hygiene and safety practices
