Bowmanville Paints is a student run residential painting company through the Student Works Management Program serving Bowmanville. We hire motivated students for exterior painting and staining projects. Training is provided, and strong performers can advance into leadership roles and eventually become operators running their own student painting business.

Job description:


We are looking for a reliable and motivated Painter and General Laborer to join our growing team. This role focuses on residential projects and suits someone who takes pride in quality work and shows up ready to contribute each day. No prior experience is required. We provide training for candidates who bring a strong work ethic, accountability, and a positive attitude.

This role offers hands on experience, practical skill development, and room for growth within the painting and construction field. You will work alongside a supportive team, build real skills, and develop a solid foundation for long term success in the industry.



Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, caulking, priming)

• Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment

• Assist with restoration and renovation projects, including light demolition and finishing work

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

• Follow instructions, schematics, or basic drawings when required

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times 

• Work collaboratively with team members to meet project deadlines

• Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and clients

 

Requirements

• No experience required (training provided)

• Strong communication skills

• Good time management and reliability

• Ability to perform physical labor (lift paint cans/gallons and equipment, bending, climbing ladders, working at heights)

• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures

• Prior experience in painting, carpentry, or construction is an asset but not required

• Professional attitude and customer-focused mindset
