We are currently seeking to hire three (3) Full-Time Permanent Line Cooks for an important role within our establishment. We are looking for genuine, hardworking individuals who are able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.

Position Details

Position: Line Cook
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 40 to 48 hours per week
Wage: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Overtime:
Overtime will be paid after 44 hours per week at 1.5 times the regular hourly wage.

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  or
• Equivalent experience

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar restaurant setting

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate special events
• Determine the size of food portions and estimate food costs
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for implementation
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• Prepare and cook special meals as instructed by the chef or dietitian
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and safe food handling procedures
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Manage kitchen operations
